1. Apple Blossom
Apple blossoms usually have five or so large white and pink petals which like to bloom in early spring. Many cultures link apple blossoms to eternal youthfulness, fertility, everlasting beauty and a declaration of one's endless love. These flowers are suitable for romantic, whimsical wedding palettes with peach, white, coral or any complimentary colour.
2. Calla Lily
Known for their class, calla lilies come in a variety of colours including but not limited to classic white, maroon, yellow, pink, orange and lavender. These flowers have long stalks and one large arrowhead-shaped petal and signify beauty and magnificence. These are well suited for modern wedding themes where simplicity and elegance are essential motifs.
3. Bird of Paradise
This flower's appearance is comparable to that of the actual bird of paradise. Hence, the name. This flower blooms yellow, orange and blue petals with some species ranging from 2 to 10m-tall. It represents faithfulness, thoughtfulness and is the official flower for one's ninth wedding anniversary. This flower is best suited for colourful, tropical themed weddings.
4. Cluster Lilies
The cluster lily has up to six blue or purple petals that grow from the stalk. These flowers evoke ideas of devotion and purity. Many wedding styles utilise these flowers for their symbolism and beauty. The most common are casual weddings and bohemian weddings. The use of these flowers in these two wedding types is because it gives off the essence of a cool, laid back and carefree bride.
5. Cherry Blossom
Some cultures often associate cherry blossoms with power and feminine beauty, energy and sexuality. Brides love to incorporate the cherry blossom due to how it blooms in large quantities, giving their wedding space a feeling of fullness. The cherry blossom works great for romantic weddings where the focus is on soft and delicate hues within the colour palette.
